As custom home builders, we have used Pino and his team on several projects. Additions, decks and basement finishes have all been completed on time and on budget. Communication has always been exceptional not only at the builder level, but also between Pino and our clients.
Pino Pena and his team did a great job on our over-roofed deck renovation. Well engineered, rock solid construction, responsive to change requests, small but mighty team, and good cleanup through out. Worked through several really bad afternoon storms. Our roof support beam is 6x14x15' long rough sawn Doug Fir to eliminate a post in the center of the cantilevered deck. This monster was non-trivial to get two floors up. Great work. We highly recommend Pursuit of Excellence.

This is the best contractor I have worked with. They built us a full garage and apartment above that we love. The attention to detail and always checking in with us through the process was fantastic.
Pursuit of Excellence fixed some things that were done badly by another company finishing our basement. Pursuit also built us two gates. We could not be happier with their work. When work began they introduced the whole crew, who were friendly and professional. Their quality is fabulous!
Please don’t judge them by any of the paint in the attached photos. The first company painted the trim in the “before” photos and we did the painting ourselves in the “after” photos.
No before picture: The other company left a big gap in the flooring at the bottom of the stairs and Pursuit covered it expertly with a cord. Pursuit used color-matched silicone to fill the side gaps in that area with silicone.
No before picture: The other company put in a section of ceiling and left a gap between the vent and ceiling, did not install a register, and the hole they cut for the register was not in line with the vent. Pursuit corrected all these issues by adding an extension and register without having to recut the ceiling hole.
Pursuit added thresholds the other company did not install and was able to replace some flooring around a door frame where the other company left significant gaps.
The work Pursuit did on all the trim cannot be talked up enough. The other company did not build level walls or bother to level the floor when they installed it, so what Pursuit did is nothing short of a miracle!
